Background story

The R Clan
Near Treespeak in the Black Shroud, there was a tribe of Sunclan miqo'te, known as the "R Clan". The miqo'te came to the Shroud many years before and thrived on hunting and gathering. They had a good reputation with the city-state of Gridania and the locals.Parents
Known by her tribal name, R'vell Xhalah is the daughter of R'xhalah Tia and R'soonia Xhalah. R'xhalah was once the Nunh of the tribe, but gave up his role because he fell in love with R'soonia. Although he never self-claimed to be, he was seen as the lead-figure of the R Clan. He was considered one of the best hunters that ever lived and taught R'vell how to use a bow, track, and shared his knowledge on beasts. R'soonia was a bard who was trained by Jehantel. She sang beautiful songs and taught Vell about the best things in life: love and humor.Leaving Home
There was a new Nunh that arrived in the tribe, R'kele. He was very admired when he arrived for how strong and handsome he was. R'kele not only wanted to be the Nunh, but he sought leadership in the R Clan. R'xhalah welcomed R'kele and knew his daughter would be one of the first chosen as a mate. R'vell, however, not only had no interest but did not like the patriarchal Sunseeker traditions. She eventually expressed to her parents her unwillingness to be with the Nunh. This saddened her parents because if a miqo'te chooses not to follow clan traditions, they must leave the tribe. Therefore, they announced to the tribe the next day that R'vell would set out on her own as an adventurer. This did not bode well with R'kele, who fell in love with her.Time On The Road
Dropping her tribal name, Vell tried to find work in Gridania. She worked a few odd jobs, but ultimately realized bounty hunting was where she could earn some serious gil with the skills she had. She kept running into a well-known bounty hunter, a hrothgar named Tristan. She despised him at first for his cocky attitude. After seeing her talent, he became humble and wanted to help her. Since she was struggling, she accepted him as her mentor. Over time, she started to really take after him. This was also the start of her constant travel for work, and therefore only saw her parents when she was nearby.The Turning Point
During one of her visits to her old tribe, Vell could tell something was not right. Her parents informed her that R'kele was causing a rift in the tribe. He wanted the tribe to grow in numbers and strength. Gaining favor with a few other Tias in hopes to have more than one Nunh, he formed his own little squadron. They were ruthless, and pushed for more productivity on hunting and gathering. Worried for her clan, Vell vowed to stay nearby in Gridania and check in frequently. On her way to the very next visit, she saw a large cloud of black smoke over where the R Clan would be located. She ran into her childhood friend just outside the tribal grounds, who begged her to flee and go get help. Vell didn't know the details, but immediately ran to the nearest Twin Adder post. The officers agreed to the call for help and a rescue squadron followed her. When they arrived, the R Clan fled the grounds. Vell saw two bodies that were burned to death on stakes. She knew it was her parents.

Roleplay rules

I typically write my character's own story, but I occasionally like to RP or just involve her in other stories. I only do this with people I am comfortable with, so try not to be a stranger!Yes:
• Alternate Universes• Lore bending: I think of XIV lore as a guideline myself since I don't follow it 100%. But let's not get crazy.• Mature 18+ content: gory violence, sexual encounters and innuendos, death, drugs, language• Pre-built relationships.• Romantic ships with built chemistry• RP that involves MSQ: I'm not against RPing with the WoL and NPCs, but I do prefer to RP outside of the MSQ. And for clarity, I do not RP as the WoL. That world is my own.No:
• Smut/ERP• Sexual Assault• Stories that involve pedophilia, incest, sexual content of child-like races.• Killing my OC, other's OCs• Overpowered characters. Strong characters are good, but I'm interested in characters that have some kind of weakness and/or imperfection for story progressionImportant notes
• I only RP in discords at a relaxed pace. Responses could take a day, as I have a real life that comes first.• I'm an amateur writer. Even more when it comes to RP. Hooks

Revenge Streak: Vell has been searching for her old clan for quite some time. While she truly wants to save them from R'kele's tyranny, she has something more sinister in store for him. This revenge need is so powerful, that if succeeded, she could become something of a terrible nature. Whenever she is reminded of him, the darkness that looms in her heart will tremble out of her.Outdoors Expert: Knows how to hunt, track, gather, fish, start a fire, make a camp, and skin an animal.Hides Under That Hat: The hat she so frequently wears is her mother's. She always has it on in public appearances. To strangers who ask, she just tells them "It looks good on me." It's very important to her as well as her bow that was crafted by her father.Workaholic: If there is no gil to be made here, then she will hit the road to somewhere she can as soon as possible. She is always looking for work. Very rarely gives herself a day off.Impeccable Aim: Thanks to her father who was one of the best hunters that ever lived, her aim with her bow is incredible. She has one archery competition trophy.Amateur Cook: Although she's never been taught anything but the basics, she frequently experiments with cooking recipes. Some are very good. Others... need some work.A Bit Impetuous: Severely lacking an internal filter. She often speaks without thinking things through.
